For openSUSE 13.2 run the following as root:

zypper refresh
zypper install fish

For openSUSE 13.1 run the following as root:

zypper refresh
zypper install fish

For RedHat RHEL-6 run the following as root:

cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/shells:fish:release:2/RedHat_RHEL-6/shells:fish:release:2.repo
yum install fish

For RedHat RHEL-5 run the following as root:

cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/shells:fish:release:2/RedHat_RHEL-5/shells:fish:release:2.repo
yum install fish

For RHEL 7 run the following as root:

cd /etc/yum.repos.d/

For Fedora 24 run the following as root:

For Fedora 23 run the following as root:

dnf config-manager --add-repo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/shells:fish:release:2/Fedora_23/shells:fish:release:2.repo
dnf install fish

For Fedora 22 run the following as root:

dnf config-manager --add-repo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/shells:fish:release:2/Fedora_22/shells:fish:release:2.repo
dnf install fish

For Fedora 21 run the following as root:

cd /etc/yum.repos.d/

You can add the repository key to apt. Keep in mind that the owner of the key may distribute updates, packages and repositories that your system will trust (more information). To add the key, run:

wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/shells:fish:release:2/Debian_8.0/Release.key
apt-key add - < Release.key
apt-get update

For Debian 7.0 run the following as root:
