Add repository and install manually

For xUbuntu 16.10 run the following:

sudo sh -c "echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/fusion809/xUbuntu_16.10/ /' > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/vim.list"
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vim

You can add the repository key to apt. Keep in mind that the owner of the key may distribute updates, packages and repositories that your system will trust (more information). To add the key, run:

wget -nv http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:fusion809/xUbuntu_16.10/Release.key -O Release.key
sudo apt-key add - < Release.key
sudo apt-get update

For xUbuntu 16.04 run the following:

For RHEL 7 run the following as root:

wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:fusion809/RHEL_7/home:fusion809.repo
yum install vim

For RHEL 6 run the following as root:

cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:fusion809/RHEL_6/home:fusion809.repo
yum install vim

For RHEL 5 run the following as root:

cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:fusion809/RHEL_5/home:fusion809.repo
yum install vim

For Mageia Cauldron run the following as root:

dnf config-manager --add-repo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:fusion809/Mageia_Cauldron/home:fusion809.repo
dnf install vim

For Mageia 5 run the following as root:

urpmi.addmedia home:fusion809 http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:fusion809/Mageia_5/
urpmi.update -a
urpmi vim

For Fedora 25 run the following as root:

Then run the following as root

pacman -Syu
pacman -S home_fusion809_Arch_Extra/vim
