Add repository and install manually

For xUbuntu 16.04 run the following:

sudo sh -c "echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/abouzakaria/xUbuntu_16.04/ /' > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/textextract.list"
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install textextract

You can add the repository key to apt. Keep in mind that the owner of the key may distribute updates, packages and repositories that your system will trust (more information). To add the key, run:

wget -nv http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:abouzakaria/xUbuntu_16.04/Release.key -O Release.key
sudo apt-key add - < Release.key
sudo apt-get update

For openSUSE Tumbleweed run the following as root:

zypper addrepo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:abouzakaria/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/home:abouzakaria.repo
zypper refresh
zypper install textextract

For RHEL 7 run the following as root:

cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:abouzakaria/RHEL_7/home:abouzakaria.repo
yum install textextract

For RHEL 6 run the following as root:

cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:abouzakaria/RHEL_6/home:abouzakaria.repo
yum install textextract

For Fedora 24 run the following as root:

dnf config-manager --add-repo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:abouzakaria/Fedora_24/home:abouzakaria.repo
dnf install textextract

For Debian 8.0 run the following as root:

echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/abouzakaria/Debian_8.0/ /' > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/textextract.list 
apt-get update
apt-get install textextract

For Arch Linux, edit /etc/pacman.conf and add the following (note that the order of repositories in pacman.conf is important, since pacman always downloads the first found package):

[home_abouzakaria_Arch_Extra]
SigLevel = Never
Server = http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/abouzakaria/Arch_Extra/$arch

Then run the following as root

pacman -Syu
pacman -S home_abouzakaria_Arch_Extra/textextract
